George Perfect  FIoD, FBCS, FRSA

George’s career spans over 40 years at ‘the sharp end’ of the IT industry. Responsible for several ground-breaking software designs and websites he understands computers from the silicon chips inside them to how to make practical use of them in almost all their forms. He speaks so many computer ‘languages’ he has lost count.  ‘On the Internet’ since before it became the Internet his knowledge covers all the possible uses of this society-changing medium.

He was made a Fellow of the British Computer Society over 20 years ago and became a Fellow of the Institute of Directors over a quarter of a century ago. More recently he became a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce.

A keen amateur photographer since his early teens he took his first photo with a Kodak Box Brownie. Subsequently he has owned and used film cameras up to professional medium format and 35mm systems with an extensive range of lenses. The move to digital photography was as natural as welcome (no more smelly darkrooms!) and a wide range of digital cameras from small compacts to full-scale professional outfits is complemented by professional computer editing tools and specialist photo printers.

Though he has tackled a vast array of subject matters and techniques over the years George’s main interests are travel and motorsports photography. His photographs have appeared in books, magazines and websites.
